Bizzdesign launches Unify to link collaboration & data
Bizzdesign has launched Bizzdesign Unify, a platform that combines visual collaboration with enterprise architecture and portfolio data. The product is available now.
The launch adds a whiteboard-style workspace to Bizzdesign's software, with live data on dependencies, risks and constraints available in the same environment. The goal is to let teams work on transformation projects without switching between separate planning, architecture and collaboration tools.
Designed for cross-functional teams spanning strategy, technology, product and operations, Unify lets users map initiatives, test scenarios and assess options in a shared workspace that draws on existing enterprise data.
Tool gap
Bizzdesign is targeting a common problem in large organisations: whiteboarding applications are often used for workshops and early-stage planning, while architecture and portfolio systems hold the underlying operational information. That split can leave business users without access to the same data used by specialist teams.
Unify is intended to narrow that divide by combining visual collaboration with data held in architecture and portfolio management systems. The platform also does not require deep technical expertise, suggesting it is aimed at a broader business audience than traditional enterprise architecture products.
The product includes what Bizzdesign calls an AI-native interface. Users can query architecture and portfolio data in plain language, while AI agents summarise designs, suggest improvements and surface information intended to support decision-making.
That focus reflects a wider shift in corporate software as vendors try to make specialist systems easier to use through natural language tools and automated assistance. In enterprise transformation, the argument is that faster access to organisational context may help companies avoid making planning decisions in isolation from operational realities.
Matthew Beech of Rolls-Royce SMR described the value of linking collaboration directly to architecture data. "As we scale transformation across a complex environment, it's critical that we can move quickly while keeping decisions grounded in real architectural data," he said. "Bizzdesign Unify helps us connect collaboration directly to that data, so decisions can be made faster and still hold up beyond the workshop."
Another customer reference came from Swedish fashion retailer Kappahl Group. "Bizzdesign Unify lets us collaborate with the business in plain language and still keep everything connected to the architecture behind it," said Partha Mukherjee of Kappahl Group.
Market context
The launch comes as companies face growing pressure to coordinate technology change across multiple business units, systems and planning cycles. In many organisations, strategy teams, architects, portfolio managers and operational leaders still rely on separate software environments, creating delays and conflicting views of priorities.
Unify is intended to provide a single shared environment where teams can use the same real-time information from early design through execution. Bizzdesign argues that this gives non-specialists access to context that would otherwise sit with enterprise architects and portfolio experts.
The product also extends Bizzdesign's push to broaden the reach of enterprise architecture beyond specialist functions. The category has historically served technical and governance teams, but software suppliers have increasingly tried to position architecture data as a resource for wider business planning and investment decisions.
Bizzdesign said its current business was formed through the merger of Bizzdesign, MEGA International and Alfabet. The company offers software for planning, designing and governing organisational change, and Unify appears to fit that broader strategy by tying collaboration more closely to the data already stored in its systems.
Chief Executive Officer Bert van der Zwan linked the new product to the spread of disconnected software in large organisations. "Most organizations are dealing with growing tool sprawl, where teams collaborate in one place while critical enterprise data lives in another," he said. "Bizzdesign Unify closes that gap, so teams can co-create, make decisions with a shared understanding of impact, and move forward with confidence and speed."
