Adobe to integrate Google's AI into creative apps for business

Wed, 29th Oct 2025

Adobe and Google Cloud have announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to integrate Google's AI models into Adobe's software platforms for business and creative professionals.

The arrangement makes Google's advanced AI technology-specifically the Gemini, Veo and Imagen models-available within key Adobe apps, including Firefly, Photoshop, Adobe Express and Premiere. Adobe enterprise customers will additionally gain access through GenStudio and will be able to use proprietary data via Adobe Firefly Foundry to customise AI models for bespoke, on-brand content production at scale.

AI integration

The partnership allows Adobe's diverse customer base, from individual creators to large enterprises, to generate enhanced images and higher-quality videos directly within Adobe's ecosystem using Google's AI models. The integration is intended to offer users precision and control in content creation, as well as a broader choice of AI technologies within Adobe's established software interfaces.

Shantanu Narayen, Chair and Chief Executive Officer, Adobe, said,

"At Adobe, we're leading the way to ignite creativity for all in the AI era. Our partnership with Google Cloud brings together Adobe's creative DNA and Google's AI models to empower creators and brands to push the boundaries of what's possible-from Adobe Firefly and Creative Cloud to Adobe Firefly Foundry."

Through Adobe Firefly Foundry, enterprise users will have the option to tailor Google's AI models using their own proprietary datasets. This customisation, operated on Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform, aims to help companies and brands develop specialised models that reflect their unique tone and content needs, while adhering to robust data protection standards. Google's policy ensures that customers' data used for customisation is not employed to train the company's foundation models.

Enterprise applications

Integration with Vertex AI and Adobe's solutions intends to facilitate the production of large-scale, brand-specific content experiences. The partnership seeks to support businesses in maintaining consistent branding while leveraging advanced generative AI to increase the efficiency and scalability of digital content creation.

Thomas Kurian, Chief Executive Officer, Google Cloud, said,

"Adobe and Google Cloud share a vision to provide the creative community with the AI-powered tools that are advancing the industry. By integrating Google's models directly into Adobe's trusted creative ecosystem, we're giving everyone, from creators and creative professionals to large global brands, the AI tools and platforms they need to dramatically speed up content creation and realize creative concepts that were previously impossible."

The partners will pursue coordinated commercial initiatives aimed at promoting the adoption of these integrated AI tools, targeting business customers and creative professionals worldwide. Their efforts will focus on expanding the reach of AI-enabled content creation, as well as demonstrating the practical benefits for workflow efficiency and creative expression.

Ongoing collaboration

Adobe and Google Cloud state they will continue to collaborate as 'innovation partners' to advance AI-driven creative technologies. This partnership builds on existing initiatives by both companies in artificial intelligence and cloud computing, and aligns with broader industry moves towards improved automation and personalisation in digital content production.

The expanded partnership follows Adobe's recent agreement with YouTube, whereby Adobe Premiere tools will be available for direct content creation on YouTube Shorts, allowing users to edit, publish and share short-form video content from the Premiere mobile app.

The integration of Google's AI models into Adobe's suite of creative tools is set to provide additional flexibility in content production for a wide range of customers, including global enterprises as well as individual creators, while maintaining data privacy and security.
