ResDiary & Quandoo team up to boost Australian bookings

ResDiary and Quandoo have announced a partnership in Australia aimed at enhancing hospitality venue operations and increasing bookings.

The collaboration is anticipated to result in 1.5 million bookings within the current financial year. By merging ResDiary's Smart Table Management with Quandoo's marketplace, diners are promised an expansive choice of restaurants, increasing options by over 45%.

Colin Winning, Commercial Director of Hospitality, Front of House Division at Access Hospitality, stated, "With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, diners are becoming more selective about where they spend their money. Our partnership with Quandoo offers venues the opportunity to reach more diners, get additional bookings and enhance their operational efficiency. By integrating ResDiary's Smart Table Management with Quandoo's marketplace, we're equipping venues with the tools they need to thrive."

Philipp Heuer, Director of Supply Strategy at Quandoo, shared his perspective: "In today's challenging landscape, providing restaurants with new opportunities to be discovered is vital. Every visitor to the Quandoo marketplace is actively looking to book a table and this partnership will help restaurants to maximise visibility and get additional bookings. Additional features, such as the ability for venues to customise their profile with menus and photos, along with diners being able to make instant reservations, means it's even easier for customers to browse and book their next great meal out."

Diners accessing the Quandoo platform will now benefit from greater variety in dining options with more than 1,100 ResDiary venues added in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, Quandoo offers a loyalty points system that diners can redeem as cashback, adding an element of reward to their dining experience.

This strategic alliance is projected to increase booking rates for hospitality venues by up to 20%. ResDiary managed 480,000 bookings in the Australia and New Zealand region, while Quandoo facilitated 900,000 in 2023 alone. ResDiary's automated table management aids venues in optimizing operations through mobile and tablet applications, and its reporting functionality provides insights into customer origins, aiding marketing strategies.

This venture arrives at a pivotal time when the hospitality sector is affected by the cost-of-living crisis. With the additional support from the ResDiary and Quandoo collaboration, venues are better positioned to appeal to diners and remain competitive.

To mark the launch of their partnership, ResDiary venues joining Quandoo will receive benefits including zero set-up fees, complimentary cover fees for one month, and a perpetual $0 monthly integration fee. Meanwhile, Quandoo venues signing up with ResDiary will enjoy three months of no-charge ResDiary services and complimentary integration.
