In Marketing We Trust has hired two senior search executives from Expedia Group, expanding the agency's European leadership team.

Oscar Carreras has joined as SEO & AI Search Director, EMEA, and Ronan Yvenou as Product-Led Growth Director. Both come from Expedia Group, where Carreras worked across enterprise search and Yvenou led technical SEO across Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo.

The appointments add senior search experience to the Australian-founded independent agency, which says it now employs more than 100 specialists across 25 countries. Its teams operate across APAC, Europe and North America, and its clients include Skyscanner, Village Roadshow Theme Parks, OCBC, Isuzu Ute and Mitre 10.

Based in Spain, Carreras will lead enterprise SEO programmes across EMEA, covering strategy, cross-functional delivery and growth for enterprise clients.

He joins after more than 19 years in enterprise SEO, digital strategy and AI-led search. His background includes work on automated SEO systems and search strategies for international organisations.

Based in France, Yvenou will focus on technical SEO challenges through what the agency describes as a product-led approach to enterprise search. At Expedia Group, he worked on technical SEO across more than 100 websites and 50 global markets.

That work covered indexation, crawl optimisation, site architecture, internal linking and search infrastructure across large digital platforms.

The hires come as agencies and brands adapt their search strategies to AI's growing role in how users find content and services online.

Carreras said the shift influenced his move.

"Spending nearly two decades solving search challenges at enterprise scale has given me a front-row seat to how fundamentally AI is changing the way brands are discovered. Having spent such a significant part of my career helping shape search strategy within one of the world's largest travel businesses, this felt like the right time for a new challenge. In Marketing We Trust has built something genuinely different, combining deep technical expertise with the agility to help clients adapt quickly as search evolves. That's a hugely exciting opportunity, and one I'm looking forward to helping shape," said Oscar Carreras, SEO & AI Search Director, EMEA, In Marketing We Trust.

Yvenou also pointed to the technical demands created by changes in search.

"The technical foundations of search have never mattered more. As AI changes how content is discovered, organisations need systems that can adapt, not just strategies that react. What appealed to me about In Marketing We Trust is the opportunity to solve those challenges at scale alongside a team that shares that long-term view. I'm looking forward to helping clients build search capability that's ready for what's next," said Ronan Yvenou, Product-Led Growth Director, In Marketing We Trust.

The appointments mark another step in the agency's international expansion, particularly in Europe. Founded in Australia, In Marketing We Trust has built operations across multiple regions as demand for specialist search, analytics and digital strategy work has grown.

Paul Hewett, Chief Executive Officer, said the hires reflect changing client demand as AI reshapes search behaviour.

"The way people discover brands is changing rapidly, and that's changing what clients need from us. Oscar and Ronan have spent their careers solving search challenges at genuine enterprise scale, and that experience is incredibly valuable as AI reshapes search. Their appointments reflect where In Marketing We Trust is heading. We're expanding internationally, investing in specialist search and AI capability, and attracting people who have operated at the highest levels of global enterprise. That puts us in a strong position to help clients navigate what comes next," said Hewett.
