VeVe & YG to launch final BLACKPINK digital collectibles
VeVe and YG Entertainment are releasing the final batch of BLACKPINK digital collectibles in advance of the band's reunion world tour.
This upcoming drop marks the third and last part of the BLACKPINK Concert Finale series, which will become available exclusively through VeVe on 18 May 2025. Fans will have the opportunity to secure limited-edition BLACKPINK digital items for a three-day window, as any unsold merchandise will be permanently withdrawn from circulation at 11:59PM PT on 21 May 2025.
The companies state that after the unsold items are removed, only those purchased will remain in existence, which is expected to enhance both the rarity and the desirability of these collectibles. The time-limited nature of the offer is anticipated to appeal strongly to both collectors and BLACKPINK fans.
The collaboration follows the earlier BLACKPINK and VeVe releases, which reportedly saw thousands of digital items sold and widespread engagement from the group's international fanbase. The continued demand has prompted this final series, positioned to coincide with BLACKPINK's live return after a multi-year hiatus.
The collection will include several types of digital merchandise. Among these are tour wardrobe series pieces, with special solo collectibles for each band member, JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA, highlighting their BORN PINK WORLD TOUR outfits and signature poses. Fans can also collect neon light series items displaying members' names, as well as diorama series sets offering digital recreations of backstage spaces, including recording and dance studios, glam rooms, and green rooms. Completing all four diorama collectibles unlocks a digital concert stage diorama. The line-up is rounded out with the lightbox series, presenting a digital BLACKPINK sign.
All collectibles are being distributed in blind-box format, meaning buyers do not know which specific item they will receive until collection. The VeVe app also features augmented reality (AR) capabilities, allowing fans to pose alongside their digital BLACKPINK avatars in various real-world settings and share these moments digitally.
Speaking about the ongoing partnership, Justin Yang, Chief Executive Officer, VeVe Korea, said: "We've had an incredible experience immersing ourselves in the world of K-pop through this series. From day one, our goal was to expand what digital merchandise can mean for fans. BLACKPINK's passionate global fanbase has proven that virtual collectibles can bring people closer to the artists they love in entirely new ways."
The interactive nature of the digital collectibles aims to provide new ways for fans to show their support. By integrating AR technology, VeVe is seeking to bridge the gap between digital ownership and traditional fan activities, such as concert attendance and sharing memorabilia with others.
VeVe's initiative to offer time-limited digital merchandise reflects a broader trend in the entertainment industry, where streaming, live touring, and merchandising continue to be augmented by digital fan experiences. The company states that it seeks to allow fans to connect with their favourite artists through not just music and live performances, but also by collecting and cherishing exclusive digital keepsakes.
The BLACKPINK Concert Finale collectibles will only be available until 21 May 2025. At the close of the three-day event, any items that remain unsold will be permanently burned, ensuring only items acquired by fans will remain accessible.
