PubMatic, a leading independent technology company in digital advertising supply, has named Luke Smith as Senior Director, CTV and Online Video for the APAC region. Smith, who will take up his new role in the new year, is set to work closely with PubMatic's APAC commercial teams to build and maintain the company's partnerships with acclaimed broadcasters, publishers, and agency buyers.
Bringing valuable experience from his previous role at Seven West Media, Smith will focus on amplifying PubMatic's strategy for CTV, OTT, and online video across the region. At Seven West Media, he served as the Head of Programmatic Sales and Audiences for six years, leading the company's programmatic-first strategy during the launch of 7plus into the Australian market.
In addition to his significant role at Seven West Media, Smith spent eight years in the UK, uniting his skills in part as Senior Business Director at The Exchange Lab, a company subsequently acquired by WPP. His industry participation also included serving as co-chair of the Video Council for IAB Australia.
In his new role, Smith's responsibilities will extend to defining PubMatic's roadmap and overseeing product feedback and regional requirements shared with the product and engineering teams. His duties aim to lead the company towards its strategic visions and goals.

Based in Melbourne, Smith will report directly to Jason Barnes, further integrating his experience and perspectives into the leadership dynamics of PubMatic.
