Milieu Insight has announced the appointment of Sundip Chahal as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Chahal, who formerly served as Group Chief Operating Officer at YouGov, joins Milieu Insight with an extensive 18-year history at the research company. In his new role, Chahal will aim to solidify Milieu Insight's foothold in Southeast Asia while leading its expansion into new markets, specifically the US and UK.
Commenting on his new position, Chahal expressed both enthusiasm and humility. "The opportunity to lead Milieu Insight at this juncture is thrilling and humbling. We're not just looking to grow; we're going to change how businesses understand and connect with consumers globally. Southeast Asia has been a key driver of Milieu Insight's success, and I look forward to furthering that momentum as we push into new markets," he said.
Milieu Insight serves a diverse set of clients that include consumer brands, media agencies, and government organisations across Southeast Asia. The company's Canvas platform offers tools for survey design, distribution, data analysis, visualisation, and reporting. This integrated system allows clients to manage the entire research process in one place, thereby streamlining operations and enhancing control over data collection and analysis.
Since its inception in 2016, Milieu Insight has facilitated the completion of over 100 million surveys. Companies such as Hubspot, Dentsu, Yahoo, CNBC, Logitech, and One Championship, along with various social and non-profit organisations, have utilised Milieu Insight's survey and data analytics software to gain insightful information and guide strategic decision-making.
Additionally, Gerald Ang, the founder of Milieu Insight, is set to spearhead the company's innovation efforts. On Chahal's appointment, Ang remarked, "With Sundip on board, we're entering a new phase of growth. Ang plans to direct his focus toward product development and skill enhancement, emphasising the importance of these areas for the company's future. Chahal acknowledged the strong foundation established by Ang and the founding team, and vowed to build upon it. "My focus is on enabling the vision already in place," he explained. "We're taking what's been articulated locally and expanding it globally. The potential here is enormous, and I'm excited to help realise it."
