ITSEC Asia signs cyber deal with PT INTI in Indonesia

ITSEC Asia has signed a partnership with PT INTI to explore cybersecurity services and skills development for Indonesian state-owned enterprises and government institutions. The agreement also includes a role for ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy.

The arrangement was formalised through two memorandums of understanding: one between ITSEC Asia and PT INTI, and another between PT INTI and ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy, an ITSEC Asia subsidiary focused on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence training.

The partnership covers cybersecurity solutions and services, support for Security Operations Centre work, and training programmes aimed at building cyber and AI skills. It is focused on opportunities within state-owned enterprises and central, provincial, and local government bodies.

Under the agreement, ITSEC Asia will work with PT INTI to identify projects where it can provide technology, technical expertise, and related services. That may include consulting, solution development, proof-of-concept projects, product demonstrations, implementation support, and knowledge transfer.

PT INTI is expected to support business development and customer engagement, particularly across public sector institutions and state-owned groups. The partners will also examine the use of space at PT INTI's headquarters for cybersecurity training and related facilities.

Public sector focus

The agreement positions PT INTI as a key route into Indonesia's public sector market, reflecting the state-owned company's existing relationships across government and enterprise networks. For ITSEC Asia, which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange under the ticker CYBR, the partnership provides a path into a segment where procurement and operations often depend on domestic institutional ties.

Cybersecurity demand in Indonesia has risen alongside broader digital adoption across business and government. That has increased pressure on organisations to protect networks and data while finding staff with the skills to operate security systems and respond to incidents.

Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, said the company sees the partnership as a way to address both challenges at once.

PT INTI presented the deal as part of a broader effort to strengthen domestic cyber readiness. The state-owned group, whose businesses span system integration, manufacturing, and digital services, said the work is intended to build a longer-term ecosystem for government, state enterprises, and industry.

Training role

A second strand of the partnership centres on workforce development through ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy. The subsidiary will help develop and deliver training, education, workshops, seminars, and skills programmes in cybersecurity and AI based on needs identified jointly with PT INTI.

The academy will also prepare course materials and modules while supplying instructors, infrastructure, and platforms for delivery. PT INTI will support the identification of customer demand and possible partners, again with an emphasis on government institutions and state-owned enterprises.

The structure reflects a wider market trend in which cyber suppliers combine technical services with training as clients struggle to recruit and retain specialist staff. In Indonesia, that challenge has become more visible as public and private sector organisations expand their use of digital platforms while facing more complex security risks.

Any specific projects arising from the partnership, including technical, financial, and commercial terms, will be covered by separate agreements.
