Canva launches Visual Suite 2.0 to boost creativity

Fri, 11th Apr 2025

Canva has announced a significant product launch with its Visual Suite 2.0, unveiling a series of new products and features designed to enhance creativity and productivity across its platform.

The newly announced Visual Suite 2.0 introduces a range of tools, including Canva Sheets, Magic Studio at Scale, and Canva AI, intended to redefine the way users engage with design and data on the platform. These tools aim to provide users with the ability to create diverse content, from documents and presentations to interactive websites, all within a unified design format.

Melanie Perkins, Co-founder and CEO of Canva, stated: "We're thrilled to unveil the Visual Suite 2.0 where creativity meets productivity, the biggest product launch since Canva was founded more than a decade ago. Each year, our community of 230 million people shares millions of ideas, and one we hear time and again is the desire to bring creativity and productivity into a single, seamless flow. From reimagined workplace essentials to entirely new ways to create with your own design partner, we're excited to continue making it easier than ever for anyone to bring their ideas to life."

The launch is part of Canva's continued expansion, coinciding with the company's growth that sees more than 367 designs created every second and a total of 35 billion designs generated since its inception in 2013. With over 95% of Fortune 500 companies, such as T-Mobile, Salesforce, and FedEx, utilising Canva, its annualised revenue has reached USD $3 billion, reflecting a 30% growth over the past year.

At its core, Visual Suite 2.0 offers users a streamlined approach to design, simplifying the creation process by removing the need for separate tools and fragmented workflows. The suite's standout features include Canva Sheets, which brings a visual and connected experience to spreadsheets, and Magic Charts, a tool for transforming data into interactive visuals instantly.

Canva Sheets is particularly noted for its user-friendly interface and ability to integrate data, text, and visuals seamlessly. This feature is supported by Magic Insights, which helps users discern key data patterns, and Data Connectors, enabling data import from platforms like Google Analytics and HubSpot.

Magic Studio at Scale is another key component, offering teams the ability to create personalised content quickly by integrating dynamic data inputs, while Magic Charts aids in converting complex datasets into easily digestible visuals.

Additionally, Canva AI introduces a conversational, voice-enabled creative assistant that integrates design functions with ease, allowing users to generate and edit content using voice commands. Canva Code simplifies the development of interactive content by doing away with the need for extensive coding knowledge.

The Visual Suite 2.0 also includes a revamped Canva Photo Editor, which provides users with professional-grade editing tools that leverage AI enhancements for more efficient image edits across both desktop and mobile platforms.

Canva remains committed to responsible AI development through its Canva Shield, a framework aimed at ensuring AI safety and transparency. This includes providing input and output moderation, bias mitigation, and user control over data in AI training processes.

Illustrating their commitment to creators, Canva's $200 million Creator Fund rewards contributors for the use of their assets within AI-generated outputs, providing ongoing payments and royalties for their work.
