Canon Marketing Malaysia has won Silver in the Office and Business Equipment category at the Putra Brand Awards 2025, extending its run of recognition by Malaysian consumers to 15 consecutive years.
The Putra Brand Awards are positioned as Malaysia's people's choice brand awards. Organisers said winners are determined through an independent consumer survey conducted by Ipsos. The survey assesses familiarity, personal experience, intent to purchase, and likelihood to recommend.
The awards gala took place at The Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Canon Marketing Malaysia said the result reflected consumer trust in its imaging and printing portfolio. The company cited products across cameras, printers, multifunction devices, and business solutions. It also pointed to a nationwide service network.
Masato Yoshiie, President and CEO, Canon Marketing Malaysia, linked the award to customer experience and continuity in the market.

Consumer survey
Canon Marketing Malaysia said the Putra Brand Awards use research as the basis for the results. It described the Ipsos work as independent. The company said this approach made the outcome a reflection of Malaysian consumer sentiment.
The company framed the 15-year sequence of awards as an indicator of continued relevance. It said the recognition came amid changes in the market for imaging and printing products.
Printing positions
Canon Marketing Malaysia highlighted its standing in several categories in Malaysia. It said it has held the No.1 position in inkjet printers for 29 consecutive years. It also said it has held the No.1 position in laser printers for nine consecutive years.
The company also cited its position in business imaging. It said it has held the No.1 market share for laser copiers for three consecutive years.
Canon Marketing Malaysia also pointed to its position in cameras. It said it is the No.1 mirrorless camera brand in Malaysia.
Market focus
Canon Marketing Malaysia said it intends to keep investing in product development and customer experience. It described the market context as a "digital-first economy".
The company said it plans further work on solutions and services as user needs change.
