Bunjang has opened an official store on Carousell Singapore, becoming the first Korean seller on Carousell's Global Store line.

Branded Carousell Global X Bunjang, the store gives buyers in Singapore access to secondhand goods from South Korea through listings in Singapore dollars on Carousell's platform. The initial range focuses on K-pop merchandise, kidult figures and collectibles, and fashion.

Singapore is Bunjang Global's largest market in Southeast Asia and its fourth-largest worldwide, according to Bunjang. In the first half of 2026, cross-border gross merchandise value to Singapore rose 43% year on year, while transaction volume increased 53%.

K-pop merchandise accounted for 49.5% of gross merchandise value and 62.3% of orders to Singapore over the period. Kidult items and men's apparel were also among the top five categories, the company said.

The new store carries Carousell's Official Store badge, distinguishing it from standard merchant listings on the marketplace. Products are priced with shipping and payment fees included, and orders are inspected and consolidated in Korea before shipment.

Buyers can pay using PayNow, DBS PayLah!, and Singapore-issued credit and debit cards. The store is designed to reduce some of the barriers that can come with buying secondhand goods from overseas, including foreign-language listings, currency conversion, and uncertainty over final charges.

Singapore demand

The launch links two established resale platforms as both seek to capture demand for cross-border secondhand goods. Carousell operates across Southeast Asia as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan, while Bunjang says its global marketplace serves buyers in more than 230 countries.

That international business has become increasingly important for Bunjang as overseas demand for Korean consumer goods grows, particularly in fan-driven categories such as music merchandise and collectibles. Singapore reflects category demand already visible on Carousell, where toys, collectibles, hobbies, and fashion are among the more active segments.

Jaewha Choi, Chief Executive Officer of Bunjang, said Singapore buyers have become an important customer group for the business.

"Singaporeans are some of the reCommerce-savvy buyers we serve. They're comfortable shopping secondhand, they know exactly what they're looking for, and they judge a purchase on authenticity, condition, and fair value, not just price," Choi said.

"An Official Store on Carousell, where so many Singaporeans already buy and sell secondhand, is the natural next step in giving them trusted access to Korea's reCommerce market, from rare photocards to limited-edition figures," he added.

Cross-border push

The Carousell partnership adds another route to market alongside Bunjang Global, which connects Korean sellers directly with overseas buyers. Bunjang recently updated that platform with three shipping partners, real-time tracking, and additional payment methods including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Those changes were shaped by input from more than 1,000 users, according to the company. Existing payment options on Bunjang Global include credit cards, PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat Pay.

For Carousell, the arrangement expands its Global Store offering with a Korean partner in a category where buyers often look for items that are difficult to source locally. The Official Store badge is intended to provide a clearer signal of trust for shoppers buying from abroad.

Vishal Salunkhe, Chief Business Officer at Carousell Group, said the partnership is aimed at that cross-border demand.

"Trust is at the heart of every purchase decision on Carousell, especially when our community is looking beyond their borders for products they can't find at home," Salunkhe said.

"Bunjang's scale and expertise in Korea's reCommerce market make it a strong partner for our Global Store line. By bringing its curated listings directly onto Carousell under our Official Store badge, we're excited to give our Singapore community first access to this new way of shopping in Korea's reCommerce market," he added.

Bunjang was founded in 2011 and says it has more than 10 million monthly active users and more than 1 million transactions each month. The company has raised KRW 178 billion in cumulative funding.
