YouVersion app sees record 2025 engagement led by Singapore users

Mon, 1st Dec 2025

YouVersion has reported record-level global engagement in 2025, with significant user activity coming from Singapore. The mobile app, which provides access to religious texts and reflective materials, saw its highest-ever single day of engagement on 2 November 2025, when over 19 million users worldwide accessed the app. This marked a 35 percent year-on-year growth and signalled an ongoing shift towards digital consumption of spiritual and wellness content.

Engagement patterns

All of the app's top ten busiest days occurred in 2025. The increase reflects broader trends in digital habits, as people increasingly seek online resources to support both learning and well-being. The company has attributed much of this growth to a combination of new features that allow for personalisation, regular usage reminders, and curated content offerings.

Singapore stood out as a leader in Asia for app activity. Sundays during August, September, and November ranked among the country's most active engagement days, with local usage spiking especially in November. During this period, users in Singapore searched frequently for terms such as love, anxiety, hope, peace, and healing, indicating a rising interest in emotional health, resilience, and personal development.

Gen Z trends

Younger users are driving much of Singapore's engagement. The app reported an uptick among Gen Z users, who are increasingly turning to digital platforms for guidance and self-improvement. The app's tools-including tailored reading plans and progress trackers-are designed to meet the needs of users seeking structured content for daily reflection.

Across Singapore, as with other markets, there is growing demand for digital resources that are accessible and relevant to everyday challenges. The focus on topics like mental well-being, hope, and healing has highlighted the potential role of technology in supporting emotional balance and growth.

Personalisation features

YouVersion has emphasised the importance of features that encourage regular interaction and ongoing learning. Reading plans, daily notifications, and targeted search functionality have allowed users to integrate reflective practices into their daily lives. The app supports over 2,300 languages and partners with more than 31,000 organisations globally, broadening the range of content available to diverse audiences.

In Singapore, partnerships with local ministries and churches have enabled the app to offer content tailored to the community's needs. This localised approach has contributed to the high engagement figures, as more users access content designed specifically for their context.

Technology and well-being

The rise in app engagement reflects a larger movement towards using technology to support personal growth and connection. Users are increasingly selecting digital platforms not only for information but as tools for daily habits that enhance mental health and well-being.

The data collected during intensified usage periods, such as Global Bible Month, provides insights for developers and content creators about the types of experiences users value most. The Singapore example demonstrates how mobile technology can support both regular engagement and personal reflection at scale.

Global context

As recorded engagement reaches new highs, YouVersion has observed a convergence of technology and faith-based activities. Mobile apps are playing a greater role in facilitating community, learning, and support in everyday life. With its global and local partnerships, the app continues to add new features designed around user needs and habits.

"The intersection of technology and faith is providing new opportunities for connection and growth, and the global engagement we're seeing in 2025 reflects a real demand for tools that support well-being and reflection," said Bobby Gruenewald, Founder and CEO, YouVersion.
