Wayvia unveils AI-powered Prowl platform for real-time price control
Wayvia has launched the next generation of its Prowl platform, introducing new artificial intelligence-powered capabilities aimed at helping brands enforce pricing integrity and protect profit margins in a volatile retail environment. The updated Retail Intelligence offering is positioned as a comprehensive solution for real-time monitoring, detection, and enforcement of pricing policies across online marketplaces and retailer platforms.
Market challenges
Retail brands face increasing challenges in maintaining consistent pricing as shopper journeys span multiple touchpoints and AI-driven agents influence purchasing decisions. Loss of pricing control can result in rapid margin erosion and damaged relationships with channel partners.
The upgraded Prowl platform is designed to address these issues directly by integrating price monitoring, violation detection, and enforcement functionality within one system. According to Wayvia, these changes allow brands greater visibility and faster response to potential pricing breaches at a time when market volatility is high and promotional periods intensify competition.
AI-powered enforcement
Prowl's new capabilities leverage predictive artificial intelligence to identify, prioritise, and respond to pricing violations in real time. The platform's Retailer Environment Scan automatically tracks updates across retailer product detail pages (PDPs), flagging violations and unauthorised sellers as soon as they appear.
Price Anomaly Detection reduces false alerts and prioritises cases where genuine margin leakage occurs, which Wayvia claims can cut investigation time by up to 70%. Dynamic Field Selection ensures that pricing data remains accurate even as retailer site layouts change, supporting business continuity during high-stakes seasonal sales.
Operational efficiency
The next-generation Prowl includes a redesigned user interface intended to streamline workflows, reducing the time from detection to enforcement. Wayvia states that teams can now move from an alert to actionable enforcement within minutes instead of hours, addressing issues before they result in significant financial impact.
"Brands are under more pressure than ever to protect their margins and reputation," said Anthony Ferry, Co-founder and CEO, Wayvia.
The unified Retail Intelligence platform sits alongside Shoppable Media and Omnicommerce Data within Wayvia's ecosystem. By consolidating insights and enforcement actions, the company aims to provide brands with the means to optimise their pricing strategy across all sales channels.
Financial impact
Wayvia highlights the importance of robust pricing controls during major shopping events, such as Black Friday and Prime Day, which can account for up to 60% of annual brand revenue. During these periods, unauthorised price cuts or MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) violations can move quickly between different platforms, and the risk of margin loss increases significantly.
Prowl's real-time monitoring and prioritisation tools are targeted towards minimising these risks, helping brands respond before violations cause broader damage to channel relationships or financial performance.
Looking ahead
The company plans to further expand the predictive intelligence capabilities of Prowl with additional features expected in the coming year.
"Unlike traditional dashboards that only report violations, Prowl acts in real time to protect margins. It is built to catch violations as they happen, not after the damage is done, preserving value, strengthening retail partnerships and ensuring every shopper experience stays consistent and fair," said Ferry.
